| All About Us! |
| Real world training for
you and your dog. We specialize in positive reinforcement for a
happier working dogs. A dog shows joy in doing something he
really loves. The same joy that a dog brings to life, he can
bring to training. All we have to do is figure out what the dogs
wants from us and how much it means to him. We must make the
effort to understand what the dog brings to the relationship and
make him a vital member of the team. We want our relationship
with our dogs to reflect confidence, harmony and teamwork.
Positive training creates trust and confirms your role as a fair
pack leader. We want your dog to be considered an important
member of your household and to be able to be included in family
activities. A well trained dog is a pleasure to live with and is
welcome in many places! |

| About Peg Cobb and Hand-in-Paw Kennels |
Hand-in-Paw was formally founded in July, 1998 after I
closed Village Pet Center in Middlebury, VT. I did informal
boarding at home and taught obedience classes in the Municipal Building
for several years prior to then. Closing the pet shop allowed me
to devote full time to my passion - my dogs and teaching others
to turn good dogs into GREAT dogs!
I have been showing and breeding Golden Retrievers under the
"Starvale" prefix since 1986 and have put numerous titles on
dogs in conformation, obedience, agility and freestyle. I
recently have started tracking again after taking a few years
off due to lack of time. |
I am a member of GRCA (The Golden Retriever Club of
America), GMGRC (Green Mountain Golden Retriever Club), BOTC
(Burlington Obedience Training Club), TCV (Tracking Club of
Vermont), CPE (Canine Performance Events), WCFO (World Canine
Freestyle Organization) and MDSA (Musical Dog Sports
Association).
